Great angling

Hi All,

This is NOT a promotion of my business, I am not going to mention any name but
I am a lifelong shore and boat angler and live in a place that is great for both. I have a business in this place that is perfect for anglers but I want to know from all you anglers where is the best place to advertise so I can let you know what is on offer.
Thanks and I hope this doesn't offend anyone.

Ok, since we're going to keep this generic and non-specific in that no names, no pack-drills apply, I'll let it run till someone gets too specific.

So to answer your question, I'd imagine that your advertising would have to be directed at your target market. Who are they and where do they come from will inform the best protal to reach them.

Thanks for that. I'm interested in getting the word out to Irish anglers, shore and/or boat who are into catching anything from a mackerel to a blue shark.

You have choices:
Obviously businesses are not allowed to advertise here in a blatant fashion. That said, businesses often post catch reports or give advice to forum members or both (Some are better than others). This is acceptable. Businesses become site sponsors or competition sponsors and this gets your name out too. In this case contact JD the Admin.

You have print media - Irish Angler being the best selling - you can advertise there or maybe get some editorial content.

Facebook is a good place to promote your business. There are other forums out there where you may be able to promote yourself.

Youtube worth investigating in conjunction with your other efforts.

I think it does depend on what aspect of the angling business you are in. I was looking for a pike guide to take me out on a lake in roscommon last year. I went with a person who had posted some catch reports on fishinginireland.info and had a very good website themselves which was kept updated (something which a lot of business neglect to do)
