Was up at greystones pier earlier today seen it was filthy with left over bait all over the place with coke bottles and crisp packs went back up to fish this evening and dead fish and same s*** from earlier back. Does that area have a litter warden I pulled a group of lads with two teachers last week for destroying the place so could be the same group of lads again!

You should walk down the end of the west pier in dun laoighaire and see the crap left down there by lads trying to get a few mackerel

Tell me about it. You can tell how many anglers have recently fished the rocks at Portnoo by how much fresh rubbish there is. It is a real problem in Ireland, and it is not just anglers. I live next to a small country road on a "scenic drive" and it's just sickening to see the amount of rubbish thrown from car windows and lying by the roadside. Plastic bottles, cans, fast food packaging, you name it. It seems that many people here have no respect for their environment, and by implication, other people who live in it.
