Browns Bay net Islandmagee

There is a net in BrownsBay close to the mouth of the small river on the left hand side of the beach you can see the floats does anyone know who to ring about it, dont think it should be there. :(

It's not a net , it's a floating rope to try to keep the jet-skiers further out from people swimming. The council put it there a couple of years ago

How disappointing, I quite liked the idea of a net to catch jet-skiers, would it work for surfers too? If so, no quota should be enforced.

last time i seen the net it was close to the mouth of the little river that flows into the bay something tells me its not ment for jet skis

Hi Guys,
the bouys appear every year.
and there is a sign that warns jet skiers to keep a mimium distance away from the shore, beyond the red bouys.

Its a pretty large sign as well :lol: :lol: :lol:
