Just wondering lads, as we know we are gettin the tail end of that hurricane, some seriously stormy seas comin up and what ive heard from some people that it is good to fish straight after a storm when it has calmed down???? Is this true does it produce good fish, to me it makes sense obviously enuff that the sea bed is all russeled up and good for feeding but jus really lookin for opinions???????????

fairplay man!!!!!! me and the boys have fished big tides a good few times now and havent had much luck with them at all, when i say much ive blanked on a big tide EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!!! could be the mark, could be a variety of reasons jus dont know, but i wouldnt be very confident on big tides anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reckon the conditions are just as important to take into account as the size of the tide, if not more so. I find bait fishing in a moderate-good surf best. If the surf is too big the bait scent is too dispersed and the fish wont find the bait.
If fishing an estuary weak tides are best, when there is a big tide the current in the estuary (appart from the hour either side of LW and HW) is so strong that the fish are probably just carried along with it, they dont have the chance to root around looking for your bait unless it is right in front of them.
