I saw that too and its a great way to fish and I fully support those boys!
That is not a lot of fish and I wonder is that the combined result of how many boats, hours or fishermen.
You wanna see sick you just need to look at any of the trawlers scooping up tons of Bass.
The thing about line caught Bass is there is a higher premium for it. Therefore fishermen catch less but earn more while spending the same amount of time fishing. (compared to trawlers who catch more and sell for less).
No bycatch, no discards, no high grading as far as I know! And I would be surprised if there were no quota's?
