Help needed - tackle advise for a newbie

Wed May 04, 2011 8:35 pm

Hi - I am new to sea fishing (have been coarse fishing for years) and I am looking for advice on a decent beachcasting rod to buy. I would be looking to do some surf beach fishing and spinning etc. I have a decent multiplyer real and decent fixed spool real. Looking to spend up to 200 euros possibly - any advice would be appreciated.
I was considering the following:
Penn Powerstix Pro 15ft 9in Beachcaster 3 Piece
Penn PowerStix Surf Beach Rods
Daiwa Sandstorm 13 foot Beachcaster Fixed Spool
Daiwa Grand Wave Surf Rod 14 foot

Thanks.

With your budget I'd be looking at something along the lines of the Ian Golds International Match.

Another vote for the Ian Golds range, far better than the rods you have listed.
