John Dalton 83yr old pensioner of Kilkenny, is the country’s oldest election candidate, will put his name forward on behalf of the salmon anglers of Ireland.
He has a salmon licence since 1948 but, as salmon are almost extinct he wants clean up of the Three Sisters, the Barrow, Nore and Suir, to see the return of salmon to these rivers so that angling can once again be a huge tourist attraction.
