the irish coast guard costelloe bay

Sat Jan 22, 2011 12:06 am

I decided to head out today to try and find a new mark or two and so brought the wife and baby as well for a spin, after a bit of driving ended up passing rossaveal so headed in to show the young lad the boats

when I got in the place was full of coast guard vans and cars,I asked one guard what was going on and he said they were having the official opening of the new coast guard station and told me to go in for a look

I got to see the equipment set up and a tour of the building,i missed the cutting of the tape because this landed

,I have seen it flying over head many times but it was great to get to see it up close and to have a look inside as well

I got to see some of the mobile equipment and boats and they even fed me and gave me coffee as well :D
I didn't find any new marks but who cares  I enjoyed the day

I would like to wish the coast guard the best of luck with the new station and keep up the good work

I asked them would they take a trade in on the clio,it has less mileage and takes just as long as the Sikorsky to start
