IFSA minimum sizes?

One for Kieran here, I think. Can we get the IFSA minimum sizes put on the web site now? I know you said it was 40Mb of a PDF and growing but with the proliferation of broadband this shouldn't be a problem. I was trying to find it on the IFSA site but it's not quite as navigable or searchable as this one.

I think in the interests of conservation, having the minimum sizes available on the web site (both for the club members who ought to have these if fishing competitions and the general angling public) is the least we can do.

the minimum fish sizes are in the ifsa diary. the differ for boat and shore.
most clubs use a catch and release system and set their own min sizes. on the east coast with lost of small fish around, they use 20cm. down on the cork coast most clubs use 25cm for flatfish and 30cm for roundfish. in general if its put back alive you set your own minimum sizes. hope this helps.

Thought it would be useful to have here for a number of reasons. Don't have a diary myself but also to have as a resource for anglers who might visit from abroad, who probably wouldn't have a copy either.

dunno if its any help but as your a donegal man the ulster provincial council has now adopted the 20cm minimum size for open competitions up here, with a minimum hook size of 4 to stop guys targeting small fish with really small trout sized hooks.
conservation is definately the way forward, catch and release(if big enough photograph) ! no more wholesale fish slaughter with weigh ins!
ps.... totally agree with you sandman, i think the federation site could do with the help of guys like kieran etc bigtime!
