Team Ireland arriving home Wed. morn. 11:10am to Cork Airport as many Anglers as can should be there to meet them lets give them a hero's welcome home.

Will the Rte news be there as there is no metion on any of the news channels of this..... only GAA etc

cant see why it did not make the news as the boat team made the news and they didnt do as well ,its a disgrace should of been in the papers too .would love to go meet the lads only have to work

When you come last you make the 6:00 news when you come first you almost make the IFSA web site thats just the way it is up that way

I have contacted the evening echo (corks local paper) and they will try and make it to the airport .
If not I have given them contact numbers for the lads on the team and they will do a article on them.

Maybe u should get your facts right! The coverage of the boat team was made before the championships had even started and was broadcast on the pratice day and although the result was very poor the team certainly did not come last. I agree entirely that the shore team should get as much media attention as possible but it is up to us to go after RTE etc to get this coverage as very few people outside the world of fishing would be aware of the brillant result the lads had over in South Africa.
