Is anybody else concerned about the possibility of an oil slick riding the Gulf Stream to Irish shores?
I'm no scientist and I can't say I know alot about oceanography, just know that the Gulf is full of oil and water from that region makes a bee-line our direction.
I'm on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and we haven't seen any oil (although it was reported that they have found dead whale sharks after ingesting oil).
However, the currents run South to North along the coast up to the Gulf of Mexico, swirl around and then bring all those nutrients and ditritus to Irish waters and shores.
I could be totally wrong so I offer it to the genial elders of the forums to hopefully allay my fears?

Doubt if it'll be an issue here, -party.
