We all have had our share of tangles with other anglers gear when traces get pulled in together do you.
A;cut all the lines without the other lads permission an cause hassle
B;work out the tangle in a manerly way an get on with it remember its just fishing
C;cut traces if all agree

The advantage of snap swivels or any quick release link to attach traces really comes becomes evident in an instance like that, if a fishing mate always B but things can get exciting as you try to figure out whose rig a fish might happen to be on
If the offender is having repeat tangles on a mark pehaps you might suggest he sources some gripper leads

to help stay static on the tide run

if its in a comp and and i know i wasnt at fault i usualy unclip my trace, provided theres no fish on it, leave whatever i left behind on the lads mainline, recast and then come back and sort it. if im at fault and i usually am i do the opposite, unclip the other lads trace and sort the tangle out.
repeat offenders suffer the 'crossover braid cast'.
i remember one night comp when the lad on the opposite peg reeled me in, sorted the tangle out and never told me. my trace was lying up on the beach for good 10 minutes. wasnt impressed.

Think i'll switch to braid for the summer!

If its a mate untangle and lots of verbals, if it cant be helped or they have a good fish on untangle. if its due to there stupidity 2nd time switch to braid and my strongest Yorkshire accent and call them every name under the sun as 90% wont know what i am talking about and the other10% can make there own choice !!!!

Same thing has happened to me eric.. was raging and said to the fella.. didnt even have the decentacy to say there is ur line mate before throwing it into the weed... put braid on after that..
I would always sort it out if it is my bad... if it's him I snap my line off and cast out again and go and try sort it out with him after that..
tangles will happen when your fishing that tight in a comp.. sometimes your fault sometimes there's...
I got a question for ya 'If you know there is fish further out but there is rip in the tide and you will more than likely tangle up with the person beside ya... Do you cast out?
