I hadn't really been a huge fan of Robson Green until I saw this series go out on Channel 5 and became completely hooked. His passion for fishing is infectious, the fishing itself (hammerhead sharks, barracudas, giant cat-fish) was hugely dramatic and the scenery breath-taking.
HAHAHAHA Fairly easy to satisfy some people I guess

Sure while im at it i think ill buy the Mr Crabtree series too, bound to be some usefull titbits in it

Sorry, I think Mr Green is a bit of a tool but thats just my opinion

I'll watch it as I will probably have nothing else to do!
I watched the last series and thought it was good from the point of view of seeing the different variety's of fish that where being caught.

I like the show done in a similar way to Top Gear to appeal to a wider audience not like shows like that clown John Wilson puts on lol

im sorry apart from his performances in wire in the blood, robson green is an utter tool. rex hunt is also a tool, matt hayes? there goes another tool. john wilson is bareable and gilbey? well we're heading back to homebase's DIY section to find him with all the other tools . ed schliffke is probaby the best one out there, he doesnt irritate me, he catches normal fish ie not stupid excotic ones that il never see or catch anyway and uses half a mile of tip tape on each of his rods. conclusion? ive yet to see a really good fishing show.

Was funny watching how he cast out for the tigers using the fixed spool and hooked up using the multiplier

Think last series was ok, It was a bit of fun watching it, Dont mind the guy myself..Whats a normal fish?? These fish are normal for the people who live in that country are they not!!??
Lighten up a bit its only a tv show..
Maybe you should contact Rte and start your own show...Then we can all call you a tool..

i have an opinion and ive expressed it. if we had a show that traveled around the british isles and caught fish that the average joe bloggs coud theorecticaly catch then maybe it woud be interesting. ie a normal fish to me. i have no iterest what so ever in seeing an irritating man reel in a giant salmon or oversized bass like a handicap. im never going to catch a marlin or tiger fish or whatever else is out there, i have no interest in doing so. if i called fair city crap would be ok, becuse that has more tools than woodies

Agree it would be nice to have a good show more for our locality, But it might not make good tv for the viewers, a lot of which might not be into fishing at all..Used to enjoy John Wilson when I was younger his stuff was more realistic for anglers living in uk and ireland.
Fair City...is as you say full of tools..So robson green is much better than watching it...Always an upside

i would say one of the best "REALISTIC" fishing shows was Paul young's hooked on fishing, not the one out in the Florida keys, but the older series were he fished the uk and ireland..
now i thought that one was very good...

hard to beat the oldies..

Think I had a haircut like that too
I know Robson green can be a bit of a tool, but apparently the series was not made with him in mind, not sure who was supposed to front it, but they wouldnt go for it unless there was a so called "celeb" face to front it!..
