I have definitely been getting bigger bass this year. Last year I got very few over 55 cm - this year I have had quite a few above that, with a few over 60 cm, in the 5 - 6 lb range. A couple of beaches where I rarely got anything over 50 cm last year are now regularly producing bass between 55 and 60 cm. Since bass are supposed to be slow growing it can't be that the 45-50 cm ones from last year grew an extra 5-10 cm in the space of 7 or 8 months ??

Strange. This year on my local river, the sea-trout have doubled in size!! I never heard of sea-trout of this size caught in this river before and I have fished it for close on 25 years.
