It is with much sadness and deep regret we inform you that Brian, our esteemed President passed away peacefully this morning (Tuesday 9 June) at St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin, following a protracted illness endured with great dignity. May Brian Rest In Peace.
Please advise all Officers & Affiliated clubs in your respective areas.
Preliminary indications are that the Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday (11th)and the Funeral service on Friday(12th), at Church of Saint Paul Of The Cross, Mount Argus, Harold's Cross, Dublin.
More details to follow when known. I have spoken to family today and expressed on all our behalfs our deepest sympathy to widow Vera, family, Deidre, Rhona, Veronica, Roisin, Miriam and Brian Jnr.

Arrangements are as follows.
Thursday 11th June: The remains will arrive at 4pm at Church Of Saint Paul Of The Cross, Mount Argus, Harold's Cross, Dublin, in Repose overnight.
Friday 12 June: 11.30am at Church of Saint Paul Of The Cross, Mount Argus, Harold's Cross, Dublin, Mass and Funeral Service.

Brian will be sadly missed . A great friend for many years and a person we all owe
a great deal to for putting the Federation where it is today .

I remember Sitting in a bar in portrush with Brian over 20 yrs ago, we drank a bottle of Glenfidditch as we chatted till 5 in the morning, and although we had differences in opinion over the years I was saddened to hear of his passing, tight lines in the next life Brian. R.I.P.
