European Commission: New fisheries policy required

The Commission said it wanted input about what to do next not just from the fishing sector itself, but also from scientists and other "interested parties" who have until December 31 this year to submit their ideas for a radical CFP overhaul by the end of 2012.

maybe we can get a say now
let everyone put forward their ideas

my first thought is stop the wasteful dumping of fish at sea

Eh hello, maybe the first step would be to actually listen to the scientists who advise them on stock levels and quotas, and for the first time ever take their advice, not overrule them and allow higher quotas than is sustainable.
