macTackle

This is just a word of warning to anyone thinking of ordering tackle online from MacTackle.com. I ordered some tackle from them in June of this year and because of a fault in their system I had to confirm to them what I had ordered as requested by them by e-mail a week after the order was placed, since then they have been uncontactable by phone as it goes straight to answering service and they have not responded to numerous messages and e-mails. I noticed recently that they have updated their site with October specials !!!!!!!! how special will they be?
So be warned --- is it worth the chance.
Maybe if thy read this they might oblige me with a reply.
The word BARGEPOLE comes to mind ...... and that's what I wouldn't touch them with in future.
So be ware lads

Unfortunately this is far from the first time this has been put up on the site. A search of "mactackle" will give you an idea of others opinions on them, and to put it mildly they are not thought of highly.

Another word of warning.

http://www.euro-tackle.com is the web address for EuroTackle in Dundalk. I used these guys recently and found them good.

However, http://www.eurotackle.com (without the "-") takes you to mactackle.com.

Hi Lads,

In Reply to your post,First of all I am Peter Noone of Euro Tackle Dundalk and my website is http://www.euro-tackle.com not http://www.eurotackle.com this will direct you to mactackle.

I have had numerous people contact me regards wheres my order after explaining to them that I am not Mactackle they apoligise and tell me that they never get a reply.

This is not an advertisement stunt but just to clear my name from the [edit mod] comments etc that might bring my business name into it as you can probably understand. [edit mod]

I send out any orders I get the next day always had and always will, if for some reason we where out of stock of an item I would immediately email the person to let them know, i ask them if they would like to wait for it to come in or ask them if they want a refund. One thing is for sure I would not just do nothing its simply not good for my business and its certainly not good for the customer.

I must admit that the domain names are a like and maybe I will look at it for the future.

I have over 1200 online customers who regularly order from us and re-order time and time again including a lot of guys from this website and they are happy about our service. We are currently building a new website and the sea fishing section is going to be the biggest section and we aim to compete with the 'VEALS' of the UK etc.

Without going on about it,Please don't confuse us with the company involved here we aim to be the cheapest and biggest in Ireland within a few years.

many thanks and lets open up anyones views to this.

Peter Noone
