there was a slight mention on creating areas of conservation or limiting areas to particular use do you think that will be followed up?

I think this has been coming anyway. There have been noises from the fisheries boards about this going back a while. There are also lobby groups and organisations starting to make their voices heard. For example, I think the Irish Seal Sanctuary have been arguing for the abolishment of non-selective fishing methods within a six mile limit.

I was very disappointed at the absence of any significant mention of sea angling in the National Response. It seems that the government is still completly failing to recognise the potential of sea angling and angling tourism in particular.
