lads this was the scenario i was picturing also. that why i said to sensor to contact the td in question. let him contact the council. and let them set a date so its not just a gang arriving at a beach looking for confrontation.
the people would be there as volenteers with the council and the press. thus showing the public that anglers on the whole care about. any bad publicity that attaches it self to our sport or any activity that puts us in a bad light.anglers are accused of littering up and down this country all the time its just a chance to show that some of us care about this problem

next time your talking to your td get him to start putting ashbins on beaches a much bigger problem than lads collecting crabs.im fed up looking for bins on beaches outside dublin having said that if i dont find a bin i bring the rubbish home but iv seen loads of lads just trowing it there.even though these lads are gobshites i stiil think that most of them would use the bins if there.i also think tackle shops should go back to useing newspaper these plastic tubs are on every beach in the country at least the newspaper was biodigradeable. ps if you get the tyres in dublin bay removed dont be surprised that the number of lads putting pictures of bass smoothy cod flouder etc on this site drops by more than half

once again someone only half reading the post. its only the new traps that are causing a problem along with the bonnets and other crap these guys have put on the strand. the original traps should be left were they are as they cause no eyesore or pose no danger to anyone.

do you no which tyres are which.cause theres three diff peoples tyres out there two of which havnt cased any trouble and are there years.then there tyres that were put out a few weeks ago as well as the car bonets and rims.so if you dont no which tyres are which you would want to be careful.it takes a lot of work putting out tyres

like i said its only the new tyres that are a concern .along with the scrap they left on the strand. some members are treating this as a witch hunt. i can assure you its not. its an attempt to clear an eyesore that has brought our pastime in to disrepute in the press and in the eyes of the public. if we all just bury our heads in the sand and just leave it. all it will take is someone to get a cut of one of these bars and then all the traps will have to be moved.and who gets the blame? the headlines will read fishermen, not comercial bait collecters or people trying to make a quick buck. it will be put down to anglers. so if the offending rubish is removed with the help of concerned anglers at least it shows that we do care about the way we leave our playing fields. if we played football would we leave shite all over the pitch i dont think so.so far most of the guys agree that the older traps that are there pose no treat to anybody thats why they have been there for so long its the ones that have been so blatently shrown across the strand with car parts that has caused the uproar so there the ones hallmarked to be removed

This is the clearest explanation yet Twinkle well done. I think nearly everyone is thinking the same. Also certain people have raped the lakes and rivers, are catching and keeping everything from the sea, leaving every place they visit like a tip and now they want to dump into the sea willy nilly and
make money out of it
The chap that has been there years must be furious over this hopefully it doesn't affect his business.
