thanks JD and everyone else for getting this together. great day for a great cause. lets see another site meet soon (maybe quarterly) for such causes.
Is there a record of what the biggest round and flat was?
With only a pathetic four miniwhiting for me today at least it means I have enough bait left for a go tomorrow and the next day too...

it was not in me

i would of had it out in a flash for him.

Great day yesterday at the comp, well organised and run. Great weather and plenty of fish, very enjoyable day.

Great day and very well organised event

I only had 2 fish up until the last 45 mins/hour, I had one fish on my first cast, dropped a dab on my second and had another whiting on my third then i couldn't find the fish after that at any distance, ended up with 11 fish with 3 counters!
Weather was great and the soup was better

Good to get back fishing after a long absence.
Absolutely a great day out. Had a lovely flounder 33cm on 2nd cast which was a PB for me. After that had only one other counter out of 13 fish.
Very well organised as usual.
Donal.

Was great to meet a few more anglers from the site.
Hats off to the organisers, great prizes aswell, I didnt get too close to winning them, but certainly didnt disgrace myself, think I got 14 or 15 fish with 5 counters.
I think we should all give boycie a big hand for providing us with a bit of after comp laughter
The most rewarding part of the day was hearing that we raised over €1100 for a very deserving cause.

Nice to meet some of the lads at last, and to give something back for all the fishing advice, 1100 euro to the rnli. They were catching fish on both sides of me from the off, with me not catching anything for the first 2 hours

,, but i ended up with 10 fish with 3 counters so i was happy enough with my first attempt at a comp. Wasnt feeling too well all day and Doctor tells me today that i have a chest infection and the flu,,,,and to think i put it down to the long walk down to peg 29

. Did he get the hook out

Push it through, cut the shank & pull through with pliers, then stick hand in a bucket of sea water for 20 minutes! Well that's what I was told to do!

Definitely will look at doing another one.

Yeah i got a hook stuck in the same place during the summer wasn't nice! I just pushed it through like a man

cut the barb off and it came out eay enough then! The travellers fighting beside us with no tops on and feeding beer to a hermit crab was a bit distracting though
