I've seen Cormorant, Shag, Guilliemot, Black Guilliemot, Razorbill, Peregrin Falcon, Buzzard, White Egret, Grey Heron, Seal and porpoise. I know that they are talking about re-introducing White Tailed Sea Eagle back into Kerry and they can be seen up in Donegal. There is a population on Mull over in Scotland so I wouldn't be suprised if they'd been seen on the North Eastern coast of N.Ireland.

charlies pair didnt do to well the last time in the 70s - wouldnt think reintroducing them in kerry again would be a good idea

My Dad is a major bird watcher and he reckons they are thriving on Mull. There's a lot of shouting about them taking lambs, but a study over there said that of the 2300 lambs that died last year only 32 of them could 'possibly' have been killed ny the eagles. Some idiot actually said that they might attack people!! It would be good to see them again though

it would be good to see them again alright - but think if reintroduction was to take place it would be better in the NE where they would be closer to mul - and an established population

now seeing something like that whilst in the back of beyond up round donegal/derry would be something :shock: , must watch the skies and watch my catch!!

That is one sighting that I would love to see. The only word to describe birds like those is majestic.

well in that case just rule out the orca and blue shark !

have seen plenty of heron's lately.. quite a few geese(not sure what type) seen a few dippers on the canals a couple of seals, oyster catchers, crested grebes, thought i saw a swallow but i think its a bit too early for them at the moment( it sure looked like a swallow.. definitely wasn't a swift or martin)..

I've seen a swallow ( or it's look-a-like ) too, here in Mayo. Could they be here that early?
