I'm in the galway aquarium drooling over some crystal clear water breaking waves and lots of bass active on the surface - I had to do something!
On the way to find an altar on the burden!

What can we expect when this cold snap goes away..? Will it be an immediate switch on for fish or will it be a gradual warm up so to speak..? 4 weeks to kerry and im getting nervous it could be a wasted effort.

I'm willing to sacarfice my girlfriend, a few close friends, and family, if it will make any difference? I'm going to absolutely crack up, if things don't improve.
I'd still say theres a chance of catching something decent around Cork/Kerry. If a few people are willing to share the fuel bill, i'd be willing to drive this weekend. Sure if i'm sacarficing the GF then i'm pretty much free again

I remember as a kid in school we had snow in mid may a few times and that's when we used to have good summers , so ya never know we might have a good summer !!
Wed Mar 27, 2013 9:03 pm
Sometimes I wonder have we been subjected to an 'extended' winter. Extending from Septemebr of 2011?
Eoghan your trip is four weeks away on the west coast (two immediate pluses for you the higher water temps and the 'lessened' influence of the easterly)
It will slow things, but it could be as Paul says a super summer - we all need one.

From Met.ie:
''It looks like the weather will change over the weekend as weather systems from the Atlantic start to approach the west coast, finally ending the easterly flow of cold air. However, the change will be gradual and temperatures will only slowly increase to more normal values for this time of year with frost still a threat at night. ''

well, we had to sacrifice our first boat trip today

- and this ceremony must have suffered some serious glitches

rated on the effects it had - maybe it was just too cold for the participants to turn up

where would I be without my two sons

god bless them, well when I can chase them away from their PC's

- nah, just joking. But I get your drift Jim, and it will be mid April until it turns, remember Easter was a fourth night earlier this year, this just attributes to the bad feeling. I'm in the hope we'll get a similiar summer to 95 - just imagine, what a difference to quality of life would that make... or else, there is always Mauritius to emigrate to
