any of my marks are atleast an hour and half from home which eats atleast €30 for fuel only and that would be the very closest one, at the last time I fished for eels, it took me €55 fuel costs only, so can you imagine how much money you have to have to fish when you like?
The price of fuel made a big impact to our fishing limits, well not for everyone, but who lives far from the sea like me, it is a tough time to have a good session in the good mark

Try living in the midlands! I've only been to the coast 3 times all year and looks like being it. Lucky to have lots of lakes around me so I am a land-lubber again. Fuel costs are restricting my Sea-fishing bigtime.

Grady theres a shore club starting up in Dundalk which wouldnt be too far away from you. See the clubs and competitions section. They will be carpooling to venues down south. Its the only way to go.

absolute brilliant idea,,way to go,,me and a mate of mine are allocating 30 euro each to allocate our fishing this weekend as the tide strenghtens,,,,
