Lads,this is a site meet, in aid of the RNLI. Competition aspect is not that important.
Anyway
5 pts per fish for all fish
+ length for fish over 20cm
No species pts.
Suggested donation of a minimum of 10 euro.
Courtown Angling will generously throw in prizes in a number of categories, not sure yet what they are..
I hear rumours of the

MINIMUM SIZES RAY (All Species)20 cm measured across the wings
ALL OTHER SPECIES 20 cm (excluding ineligible speciess)
INELIGIBLE SPECIES Mackerel, launce, sandeel ,weeverfish and Salmonids
FISH POINTS All fish above minimum size score 1 length point per full centimetre + 5 fish points, with the following exceptions:
EELS
under 100 cm 35 length points + 5 fish points = 40 points
Over 100 cm 95 length points + 5 fish points = 100 points
LESSER SPOTTED DOGFISH(LSD) 20 cm or over 50 length points + 5 fish points = 55 points
First Lesser Spotted Dogfish must be measured for use in the event of a tie
NOTE: ALL FISH ARE RECORDED ON CARD, THOSE UNDER 20 CM HAVE LENGTH RECORDED BUT RUNNING TOTAL DOES NOT CHANGE.

Definitely, this is the big one. I heard Des Cahill and the RTE Outside Broadcast Unit will be there, but Rosanna Davison can only pose with lug worm at the shop until 12:30 so if you miss it then it's yer own fault.

great, comp, thoroughly enjoyed meself and the prizes where great as was the soup, nice one j.d and courtown angling center. pity the fishing wasnt superb for the specimen hunters, but the weather was tremendous
