Ah Brian! Its Downpatrick - but you knew that didnt you....
My neighbour across the way (72!) fishes off that ledge regularly in the summer and always comes knocking at the door after with a fertiliser sack full of macks and pollock. So its not just our East European friends that are a bit mad....

Similar sights in County Clare every year. I've seen people attempting to tie themselves on to certain cliff marks in a bid to catch late season macks in shitty conditions. Its sheer madness and people at this carry on should be arrested, they are putting themselves and others who may have to be involved in rescue attempts in grave danger. Think about it, we get fined and penalty points added for not wearing a seatbelt but this kind of utter stupidity goes unpunished.

A tailwind or quick kick could be referred to as "natural selection"

What a plonker, would be funny to hook into a big fish and dragged him over the edge
Sun Feb 13, 2011 11:18 pm
i wonder what the fish thinks when all of a sudden instead of getting a bite to eat its halfway up a cliff

Been at Downpatrick head with the wife and children ONCE.Thinking of the place this fool was standing gives me the shivers.Fished the head on the left side though.Man the size of the pollock was really tempting, but beiing nearly swept away with a few huge waves,I called it a day after 30 min.....actually my wife did(at least someone using common sense ),from a distance.....The beach a few miles further west brought a lot of big tasty flounder...Ever seen the big hole in the middle of the head ?,you don't need to be afraid of heights to be scared there !
