I got 5 snakelock type anenomys not sure if they are sub spieces as they were found together, I also put in a new common Blenny.
I bought a blue marine T8 bulb and a air pump and air stone (not on at the moment as it being used to hatch brine shrimp)

That's awesome Sean, cool video. Would you ever be tempted to put in a predatory fish? A pet wrasse would be awesome!

Thats really cool, there is a freediver in the UK that has created a marine pond and he has filled it with species he has angled. He has bass, bream and turbot in there among others.
Maybe your next project ;)

Beautiful set up.... Well done!
Do the various critters survive long? What do you feed them on?
Must be a biatch emptying and filling twice a day though :D :D

thats the idea, a little red gurnard would be nice but might eat some of the other stuff in there. I decided to do cold because i was always interested in marine fish keeping but never had the money for the warm stuff. 35 euro for a clown fish.... there are still lots of interesting creatures around our shores

the sticklebacks keep mysteriously disappearing the last 2 of 6 were gone thismorning without a trace. although the wrasse looks a bit fatter today i wouldnt like to pin it on him :D i blame the prawns for everything they eat everything.

i have been feeding very sparingly so as not to over load the filter with excess food and waste. every 48-72 hrs an ice cube of chopped up squid. I have also just hatched a batch of brine shrimp so i will be putting some of them in from time to time.

water changes twice a day  that would be fun. NOT, filling the tank was the worst bit it took about 8 5gallon drum fulls and i only have one drum! any time now i go looking for stuff in rockpools i bring 4 5 litre bottles and fill them with fresh sea water to dilute things. there are not that many fish in it at the moment so water tests seem to be ok.

the snails are the right job, they clean all the glass although they missed parts in the video.

Hi Sean.
I recently started up a freshwater tank. I've found a product called Organic aqua. This stuff looks after water quality. It's available for saltwater too. I think it might be worth your while to look into it. There is no need to worry about the nitrogen cycle. I only need to change 25% of the water once a month. I have also read a report on a fish keeping site from a guy using this stuff with a marine setup. He's very happy with the results over a number of months. He also only changes 25% of the water once a month.

I can give you more info on this if you are interested.
