I'm rated doubtful at the moment - smothered with a cold. I'm not sure that sitting in freezing conditions, snow, sleet and rain will help it.... :(

Fri Feb 09, 2007 11:53 am

Well, my central heating is kaput, so I may as well be outside as inside :(

Fri Feb 09, 2007 1:33 pm

sorry lads the girl who was to cover 4 me in work is after having a death in the family so i am now covering 4 her so i cant make it now hope the comp goes well

Will there be a need to use heavy leads with that easterly?

Fri Feb 09, 2007 4:57 pm

Should be fine with a 4/5 oz grip lead, might be a little rough for small plain leads althoguh it is a very small tide so you'd never know. It's unlikely on such a small tide the codling will move inside the sandbank :(
But there should hopefully be dabs & flounders everywhere!!

How far out is the sandbank? (for us poor casters  )

... which was 2 more than me. I think there were 18 fish caught in total, between twenty-something anglers.

Sean had something like 4 fish. Biggest fish was a 28cm codling.

I'm off to buy some size 8 hooks.
