Hi ya alan,
the club has members from all around Ireland, and competitions all around the country.

you can see 07's schedule here
http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bull ... php?t=9140

It is affiliated to IFSA, so you would be able to fish IFSA opens.

It is affiliated to the Leinster Provincial Council, as IFSA is organised on a provincial basis.

Hi Alan, your doing the right thing joining a club, it will definately help you to become a better angler, not that you are not any good at the moment but you do learn a great deal in a very short time IF you keep your eyes open to what is going on around you.. :D

Just 1 thing to mention, Joining the SAI club will let you enter any of the OPEN competitions in both the North and South of Ireland, but if you want to enter a closed competition i.e. in Ulster, your club membership being from Leinster will not let you enter. I know it's a pain and really it shouldn't matter but it's fact. Each of the 4 counties have there closed competitions just for anglers who are associated to clubs in there given province. Hopefully it will work well for you.

Good luck with your fishing.

Steve
