rosslare point

Postby croppyboy » Tue Jun 26, 2007 4:37 pm

if its the point we would want to get there very early indeed as the fishing drops of as soon as darkness arrives and if it is calm the point will be packed out of it as it was on friday night last

July 7
There is no final decision on this, but there will be a full tide at about 11.30 pm, which could make it awkward if you need to leave the point around then
My preference is a night session at the Cannons 7pm -> (v) late.

People could try the point before hand or even the next day (those not going on the boat trip) (tide in at noon)

John crab is the only way to go, with rag a second choice..crab gets the bigger fish(usually) .. 1 down clipped up worked well for me, snood about 2 foot.... pulleys are effective too...squid after dark should see some pup tope...or even if you fancy lashing a mackeral out for that big boy tope (if fishing the point)
