what about using empty line spools, or a piece of foam pipe

how about a CD wallet!!

Go to a plumming supplier and get a lenght of 1/2" pipe laggng. Costs about 90 cent for a 2 metre lenght. Cut it to what ever lenght you require.
I use 5" lenghts these fit into ice cream cartons. you'l be able to wrap 6/7 snoods around each one. Start wrapping the end of the snood first and snag the hook into the foam to keep it in place.

i have a wooden storage unit from homebase...its holds all my fishing gear and rig components,i use the top shelf and stick the hook slightly into the wood...it just hangs there out of childs reach and i can see exactly what snoods i wanna use for the rig then

the course anglers use rig boards, basically a long hard wallet that you pin your snoods to, you can have anything up to 20ft snoods in it just run it up and down several times.

Why not use the rig winders, i know they are intended for complete rigs but the smaller ones could hold a couple of snoods no bother.
