tides. whats happening?

whats going on with the tides just lately? i went down to hazelbank last night at 7pm when the tide was supposed to be in and it wasnt,as im planning on going fishing this weekend i got home and started to look at the tide times,i looked in my tide times book,the internet,and the belfast telegraph and guess what,they all gave me different tide times.So what i did was calculate when the tides are going to be in and out from the given times and worked out that you should leave 2 hours between each tide to catch it right.Oh no,i go down to hazelbank today to dig some rag worm,and same again,the tide should have been out but it was in,so everything i worked out last night just went out the window,im also sourcing different tide depths as well.
so whats going on? is this global warming which is starting to affect the seas?

Carl just after checking the tide tables there the tide was fully out at 20.48 last night and again this morning at 09.05 which was 0.7m high. there is also a lower pressure which would affecting the height of tides to

20.48? i was down there last night mate and the tide was coming in at 7pm,same again this morning when i went down,whatever the tide tables are saying they are wrong,its not just me either,i know other people who are having the same problem.

nightmare. does hazelbank fish well this time of year

Tides have been running a bit higher this week ,4.0m as opposed to 3.6m as predicted ,and not dropping as far out ,makes getting bait a bit ackward.

I've seen that with tide times in newspapers as well.

they use a software package to predict the times and the heights of the tides so local conditions can affect these and put them off as was said previously

in shallow bays High pressure can prevent any significent rise in the tide.

were the times given in the paper before this correct?

anyway tides are created by the moon and sun so its not global warming :D

the times given for tralee are based on the tides on fenit pier which is 5 miles away so I've noticed there is a difference. I also have mistaken 17:00hrs for 7 oclock :oops:

I hate it when it you go out to dig bait and the place is just about to be covered.

had the same problem thought i could get ragworm but couldn't cause the tide didn't drain out to what it said in the tables.
