well, for match fishing i find a bait needle is essential for lug presentation because i put them on upside down so the head is at the hookpoint . i prefere using ( blow lug ) bacause they are small and look very neet indeed on a size 4and then tipped off with a sliver of macki !!! well , thats my way of presenting lug !! hope she helps !!!!!!!

I try to keep them lined up side by side on the plate. A bit of garlic & onion sauce drizzled over them and a sprig of parsley in the middle. Served with rice & green beans while still piping hot.

I usually just put mine on a hook, but does it make a difference which way you hook then? ie. tail up or down

On a small island called Cheung Chau - it's about 40 minutes on the ferry from Hong Kong.
They do eat worms over here though! In China at least. We stopped off on the way back from a carp fishing trip to a really nice restaurant. In the section where you go and choose your fish, crabs, lobster etc. they also had water beetles, cobra  , turtles, various shell fish and "green worms" which looked very much like rag worm and sand worm!! Apparently they fry the green worms till they're crunchy but they like the sand worms soft!!
I do miss the normality of Ireland!!

was told by a friend that he swears by 3 lug head first slid up over the knot over the hook(just heads) and the bind the bodies to the hook with bait elastic..says its a deadly bass bait

Thats exactly what i do with the lug and it works for me with bass!! i think its one of the best bass baits you can use on a storm beach!
