use it for most rigs when flurocarbon isnt required, although it can be problematic on some clipped rigs due to line stretch

Love the stuff, as Phil said use it on everything bar when using fluro. 18kg black for all my rough ground stuff, makes really tidy rigs.

Also when using multi snood rigs that are liable to get the odd tangle, like bombers wisgbones etc. use clear and black and they're very easy to sort out!

15lb clear amnesia covers almost all that i need.

Unless you dont mind working for a pittance Merv, be careful as there are any amount of rigs available on Ebay for a pittance. People who prefer to buy rigs are never usually too fussy on the quality and just go for the cheapest. Ive bought a couple of batches in the past from a guy called Wizzco and I was buying 20 rigs for about 10-12 quid. No way on earth you could possibly make money at that if you factor in your time. Yours may be of far superior quality, I dont doubt that, but the majority of buyers will go for the cheap option.

If I can give you a tip, get hold of some bulk spools of cheap Fluoro like Berkely Vanish and make some bloody good scratching match rigs with really long snoods and smallish hooks. Nobody is making them. Try and make the popular rigs that may be that bit more difficult to tie so most people dont sell them. Bomber rigs that work, even simple things like a Flier rig maybe incorporating a small weight. Another thing that I can see a market for would be for semi made rigs. For example a 3 hook rig with Swivels etc all crimped into place but no snoods or hooks, fit to your own spec as it were...

Best of luck, as I say, once all is considered if you can make money out of making them then fair play as there are plenty who arent.

Merv,

I agree with what Peter has said, there is a market there for quality rigs, but a lot who buy ready mades only look at the bottom line mate.

If you want to PM me I may be able to assist you in some way.

It is one of the jobs where snags are good for business
