I'M FISHING DOWN IN CORK THIS WEEKEND, I WOULD ARRECIATE ANY HELP OR TIPS ANYONE CAN GIVE ME ONTHE AREA ON SHORE AND BOAT FISHING.

I have never fished the marks listed on this site at http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/shore%20-%20cork%20-%20south.htm but my wifes' uncle caught a 10lb bass at Courtmac a few months back.

You could also try http://angling.erin.ie/courtmac.htm. As well as the accommodation and charter service he offers there is a link at bottom of the homepage called Map. This gives you a pretty detailed listing of the local shore marks.

Sorry that I'm short on specifics but there seems to be few enough fisherfolk posting info on the Cork marks at the moment. Maybe they are just lurking  .

The road bridge in Timoleague fishes very well for bass after dark on spring tides. I really wouldn't bother trying it otherwise, although there are plenty of mullet to be caught.

There are a few marks worth trying around Clon. Inchydoney Strand will fish well on the incoming tide, although the right hand beach can be plagued with weed. The left hand side does not suffer as badly.

The beginning of the channel across from Dunmore House hotel is also a good spot, worth spinning or plugging here.

Unfortunately I don't actually know the name of my favourite spot! Take the road towards Ring harbour, and follow it all the way around to the right. The last part of the road takes you up past several farmyards (watch out for that poxy little jack russell!), and ends with a rough track leading down to rock platforms. If you stand at Ring pier and look at the very begining of the estuary mouth you should see them on the lefthandside side. Plugging and spinning over the rocky ground here can produce some great sport over low tide.
