can anybody give me some advice on rigs.. not sure what type to use if i wanna fish for bass/cod/flatfish etc...i normally just use about a meter of heavy line with a swivel on top, 1/3 of the way down i use about 5 inches of the same line with a swivel at one end tied to the main line and my hook the other end, i repeat this about 2/3rds down again, then i tie my weight to the bottom ( usually one of the grip weights)... iv caught fish on this rig but havint a clue about "pulley" rigs an the likes... any help would be great lads... anything that helps me catch a fish haha...

3 hook flapper or 3 hook clipped depending on where the fish are. stick to size 2 hooks. 15lb/20lb snoods. make your snoods around 1 n a half long. this will mean the rig body will be about 6' long. if fishing on a surf beach lenghten your snoods to at least 2 feet.

i dont mean to be smart mate an i appreciate the help but what in the name of jesus is a "flapper" and a "clipped"... i presume a snood is the smaller length of line that ties from hook to main line?... iv been fishin for a while but never bothered researchin or learnin bout different rigs

that's the snood alright. flapper is a standard rig with 3 snoods coming off the rig body(the heavy line running from the top swivel to the leadlink n lead). there are links to rig set as stickies on the site.
