ive run out of impact leads so gonna make up a few pulley rigs with impact shhield bait clips. how do these stand up to power casting, is it safe to use them in this sense

They should be fine mate. Never had any Problems with them.

They were the orignal long distance baitclips. I prefer them to the impact leads cause they are cheaper if you loose the rig.

i'm really jst wondering is there any chance of breaking with power casting, i'l be using them on a pulley rig so there would be alot of force travelling through them

Never had a problem with impact sheilds. The only issue I've had is that I used to use micro beads but these can get forced throgh the slot on the shield and are a bugger to fix, so use a decent size bead with it.

well, depending on bait size used etc, i would use them ahead of the impact lead sometimes, they will not give u problems for general use and power castin

good for delicate baits due to the air pocket they create when travelling through the air. also good for 'oversize' baits which can wobble out of the impact lead. should be fine for power casting- never had one break.
