Just wondering if anyone knows of Ballyholme ever producing Winter Whiting? I'm tempted to ask if it produces bloody anything - ever but i'll resist.

What type of flatties? What time of the year was this? Was it dark? Was it full tide? How far did you cast? Was it close to the groynes or in the middle more? What bait / rigs were used? If during the day, was it overcast or bright? What sort of wind was there that day?

Twas Autumn, Fishing Between the First 2 Groynes after the river, we were using Rag, Squid and Mackeral Fished at Maximum casting Range which for me at the time was around 60yds. It was night time. With a bit of a westerly and a Chop on the water, the river was running at its proper Level so Salinity was probably average for around there...

what you on about?

As I said, I'm going to fish the Beach side of Donaghadee on Sunday, Possibly from just at the War memorial near the Yacht Club, its casting onto clean ground, and the tide should just suit fishing from about 5 til 9, The tide will force us back so far that we'll have to fish from Behind the Memorial on the walkway by the end.. Im expecting Flatties.

Sounds deadon, the weather though doesn't look so good... FFS if Metcheck was to be believed, we'd be expecting 65mph winds on Sunday afternoon.
