yesterday at ballycastle compo run by ulster bass we and my beach shelter where hit by a very large wave and thankfully didn't lose anythin major but some damage was done to my sl20 hv...when the spool is engaged to reel in its reeling backwards to the anti reverse could be damaged or would snad in the reel cause that.....it only about 3 months old and gets cleaned out every month and a light re-oiling any body got any ideas of how to fix it

it sounds like the anti reverse pawl is stuck with sand ,easy enough to fix ,just lift out the main drive cog with your drag assembly etc. the pawl is underneath on a light spring ,more than likely theres a bit of sand stuck in there somewhere.
