What is all your opinions on the both of these two reels. I have a Penn 525 mag. I'm thinking about getting a 7ht for some general shore fishing. After making the switch to the multiplier's I don't think i would make the switch back to the fixed spool.

i'll swear by the 7ht.. (swore it it today as well).. excellent reel.. i'm on my second one now.. you wont be dissapointed by it.. the only flaw is the handle length (bit on the small side) but a very good reel altogether 8) 8)

Keep your 525 for a Bit of Power in the Rough Stuff, the Millionaire 7HT (Thats that Black One), seems to generally be a clean ground reel, same with the Turbo. :?

The 525 will out live a 7HT and is more versatile, however for light line 12-14lb the 7ht is the business, especially on clean beaches.

Ya cannae whack the 525 mate.

7ht is a good reel and I am considering buying one - but it is only of any use on a beach - not rough ground - whereby the 525 will do both....

Have fun.

i am going to get a 7ht in 4 week's time i have stopped smoking as of today and that's £20+ a week i am saving i am getting the black one and seeing what it goes like i have wanted one since they first came out to be honest in my mind i think the 7ht is on the same power as a mag elite for casting and that double click thing when you push the button in is a good safety thing i have hut the handle on the elite a couple of times wile casting and lost 3-4 pounds worth with a snap off  go for it Steve its worth the cash and little gem of a reel
