Dried Rag/Squid

Came across dried rag worm and squid in Tackle shop in Dungloe, Donegal (can't remember the name). Gave it a try and what a waste of time, on their own - nothing, mixed nothing. Alongside mackerel - makerel taken - the rest left. Not even the crabs were interested!

Anyone else come across this stuff, had ANY result?. I was not particularly surprised as both were like rubber putting on the hook and did not improve much for a soak in the sea. Will avoid in future and bring a fork!

I remember that when I started out shore angling that the local tackle shop sold ragworms preserved in fluid in little plastic bags, needlesstosay they were an absolute waste of time...were that bad that they used to sting your hands when you used them...god knows what the preserving liquid was :shock: !
