Hi guys, heading down to Cahirciveen on Monday for few days with the other half just looking for any info on how its fishing around that area and any spots worth trying ?
Too lazy tonight to have a proper search round the forum
Will be mainly spinning/plugging with bit float fishing chucked in, though i might be allowed to get a beachcaster in the car
Gonna have a look at Culoo on Valentia, but is there any other rock marks on the island worth trying?
All help & advice would be appreciated as hopefully it means she catches some fish which equals more fishing time for me 8)

Try the rocks from the tetrapod tracks down as far as the lighthouse. Got decent pollock there in July, few mackerel should show too. There is a series of rocks once you turn right past the Skelig visiter centre...you'll see a slip road going up to a viewing point. Down along there on the left hand side you'll get plenty of pollock and wrasse. I only usually get to fish there during summer hols so some of the more local lads will probably have a better idea.
