hello
my current cheapy multiplier has died and im on the lookout for a decent reel that will cope with rough ground and cast well.
something like a 525 or sl20 would do me fine.
preferably cheap but in good nick cuz im a skint student lol
within collection distance of belfast would do although if not ill cover post and packing costs as well.
let me know what you have.

Yep. The Toyota pickup of the angling world. If you're buying second hand just watch for corrosion. I've found Daiwa very good for parts. Price new from veals is just over the €100 mark, to give some idea of 2nd hand price.

I would not pay any more than £40 for a second hand SL as they can be bought new from local tackle shops for between £75 and £80. As teacher said, watch for corrosion or rough running ( SL's are usually smooth as silk 8) )
Think I saw an SL20 going second hand in one of the local shops, was well used but from memory was running ok. Will check it out and get back to you.
