yea richie ur right, there is a fella that goes from howth harbour over, i had his number on my old phone but the screen broke on it. ive never fished it but im sure its worth a go. if you ask around at the harbour someone will point you in the right direction, but as far as i can remember his boat is located on one of those piers in between the east an d west pier

hi,what you do is walk up to the shop anns, and follow the pier right up,you'll see a sign on the edge of the pier saying something about the boat....as far as i can remember its 10 euro for adults and 5 for kids....hope that helps you

East Pier, half way up on the left you'll see a sign for the Dublin Charter (I think its called). Moored right there, steps down to it.

There's plenty of pollack around, some decent sized ones too. Also plenty of wrasse off the back (the side facing away from Howth). I haven't fished it from the island itself, but have fished it from a boat within spitting distance of the shore.

Plenty of wrasse in the lagoon on the back of the island beside martello tower. Had a 5 pounder a few years back. Apart from there I have no idea
