Anyone know where I can get a good rod holdall?

Do you know where I can get a good rod holdall? I have a 13ft Suvaran Sport which breaks into 6ft 6" and a Contender which breaks into 6ft with a tripod to boot. I have them tied together with rope at the moment, which isn't too comfortable on a long hike.

I did see a Cormoran holdall, but it wasn't long enough. This was a very luxurious affair with pockets for two reels and tripod.

I'm in the Dublin area.

I bought a Shakespeare holdall from Peter Horne in Blarney for EUR42. It holds 2 beachcasters comfortably and I was able to slip my spinning rod also. It has pockets for an umbrella, tripod and long spare pocket for I dont know what. The tip section of my Penn Vendetta pokes out the top about 15 cm's but thats OK as I really need it to leave my hands free.

Still looking. I thought my Suveran was 13foot, but it actuall breaks down to 80inches. This seems to be a funny size for the holdalls. I really want th sectionalized holdalls so that the rod segments are seperated. I have a 6 foot holdall already, but the rods have to be in rod bags inside it - and still stick out the top!

Oh, the irony...........

Over here in the UK the NFSA has a sort of half-arsed campaign against gill nets. One of their sponsors is Fladden/YYS international.

Anglers are just now realising that YYS International's website catalogue is offering for sale:

Guess what......

Yep, you're right............

GILL NETS!

I can see a campaign by anglers to boycott them starting shortly............

And that relates to a holdall.....................how?? :?

Oooops, forgot to log in there!

IDPearl, It's a bit of a thread hijack alright :D , sorry about that.

However, I did think that anglers might want to know about companies that are happy to hunt with the hounds and run with the hares.

Imagine, a company that sells angling gear on one hand and on the other sells the kind of gear that is responsible for decimating in-shore fish stocks, Bass in particular.

Cheeky blighters! :x

do you really need a holdall

what about using one of those titan rod slings that draw all your rods and tripods together and can be slung over your shoulder. It is one less piece of kit to store on the beach. I think they cost about a tenner.
