Is there a best time to target congor day/night.

Any good marks in north to cut my teeth on.

Any and all info that may help let me know

Caught a few from Browns bay -- Off the rocks on the left of the bay near the golf coarse. :D

The Antrim coast is basically one big conger mark, plenty of them about - especially later in the summer. Look for anywhere with a reasonable depth of water and rough ground.

Places to try.

Carrick Harbour
Blackhead
The black arch at Larne
Glenarm breakwater
Garron Point
Red bay pier

There are plenty of other marks but these are the best known with the easiest access.

Sorry, forgot to add, best time is low water after dark to fish for them.

add a few more - ramore head, landsdowne, ballyreagh area, portstart rocks, ballycastle breakwater, portrush harbour, ballintoy harbour, larrybane (carrick a rede) pook, the lists is endless, best at dark on most places.
