Braid: SpiderWire or PowerPro?

Hi all,

I'm going to use braid this time around and have the choice between SpiderWire or PowerPro. Anybody any suggestions which of the 2 to use?

I suppose it depends on what you want to use if for. Personally, I prefere powerpro as it is not coated. Most of the spiderwire is coated and is either sinking or floating. This can be excellent in certin situations. I think the coating also makes is a bit thicker which increases air resistance which reduces distance with light plugs.

hi

i would suggest power pro, its the best braid i have ever used and it has surprisingly goog abrasion resistance IMO

Powerpor all the way for me as well. I do have some spiderwire on one of my pike reels. It's getting dumped this year.

Thanks lads,

Going to give PowerPro a try.

I bought SpiderWire from eBay (300 yrd $25 inc postage) but when I opened it there was also a spool of PowerPro. I received the wrong order. How bad!!
