Hi
Has anyone any idea where Imight get some shore fishing around wexford this weekend... any tips would be appreciated and will let you know how I get on .

hey, im not from wexford myself but i was watching a program on discovery realtime called total fishing 2006 it might be repeated tonight (always on) but they were fishing in wexford didnt catch the name but you have to get a cable cart over to it and they were getting wrasse pollock and flounder if you watch the program your self you might know were they are hope that info helped... tell me if you find out were it is

Thanks for that Ian.. .. you have me wondering now . I thought I knew Wexford well but I didnt know of a cable car. If you happen to see the prog. again can you let me know where it is as I cant get that channel.

hey beachboy I think ian123 is mistaken that episode was filmed in isle of white i think although henry did fish in wexford he fished along the coast between kilmore and hook head don't know of anywhere fishing particularly well in wexford seems a bit hit and miss

Thanks fot that copperhead... I think I ll try the beach north of the harbour or Baginbun .Does anyone know if peelers can be gathered in the area or anywhere in wexford. I can dig a bit of lug down there.

I'm pretty sure that that is in Kerry.

I think the cable car referred to was the one over Dursey Sound, Beara Peninsula, West Cork in an area offering good wrasse fishing.

You can buy bait in wexford town in murphys(the best rag in the town when he has it) or hayes both on main street murphys are down by station and hayes on other side of town also you can buy rag and some times lug in ardcavan on the old dublin road

Thanks for the info lads ... daves tackle is handy for bait (near the bird sanctuary). Dug some decent lug and found box of fresh prawns (fell off back of trawler ! ) and had good day ata cahore on sunday (see shore reports). Things are picking up after dismal few weeks... tight lines
