Butterfish

Was just wondering whether anyone has ever actually caught one of these with rod and line, i've heard they can grow up to 25cm in length so maybe thought it was possible. I've only ever seen one in my life, you could say i caught it, well it was under a bit of seaweed at low tide [Ballyferris Caravan Park  ] that i lifted up whilst looking for em, well basically anything, as you do! [when a kid] ..

Found them mooching about in rock pools and under stones, never one rod and line. Got an old book that recommends them as bait for bass, pollock and such like.
