Antrim Coast Holiday Fish Hunt

Thu Dec 22, 2022 10:27 pm

Hello All!

I'm heading back home to Belfast for the Christmas holidays and naturally planning to get out and do a bit. I had a great year fishing all along the East Coast of Ireland since moving to Dublin but I am now very much out of the loop with the coast I grew up fishing.

Is anywhere fishing particularly well at the moment? Currently i'm toying about with the idea of either Drains Bay or Portmuck for the rough ground and chance of a codling. Considering the weather is very mild i'm also toying about with lashing out a mackerel head on Ballycastle beach in the hope of a Winter bass. Any help would be very much appreciated - I really don't want to blank when back on home soil (or sand & rock as the case may be)

Cheers in advance. :D
