Bass protection group - first meeting

To all of the people who expressed interest in forming this group thank you for your patience.

The first 'formation' meeting of the group is scheduled for Saturday May 13th at 2 o'clock. The venue is dependant upon the people who are interested in the group but who have to travel from the 'Far North'. There is a conglemeration of people based in the south and east of the country who have expressed interest also. In order to be 'geographically fair' i was thinking of maybe Athlone - but if people from the North cant make it then i would move the venue to suit the greatest number of people. Liam has done research for us and the cost of the room at various Hotels for say 15 people seems to run between 120 and 150 euros which we as individuals would have to bear (10 euros each ok?).

If you are interested in attending this first meeting please e-mail me by Wednesday 5th April so i can decide on location and confirm numbers etc.

Before this first meeting if anybody has any particular or

1.section/interest/ideas then please develop them before the meeting for discussion there and then in any preferred format. I know some people have already started on some projects

2. If anybody has invited prominent guests can you please let me know also

3. I see there are several other postings on this site regarding bass etc and have had no reply from these users regarding interest in the group - perhaps someone who knows them can give them a prod?

Then i can get some form of agenda together to assist us in reference to optimum use etc

I will be travelling from Wexford and if people would like to car share with me its not a problem - i can fit 4 in comfortably - so if you want to drive from waterford to wexford and travel from there again its fine with me.

I would like to thank SAI for the help in forming this group - i think without it, it would have been much more difficult to get going.
